Wedding Dress Shopping | What You Should Know

With an engagement and wedding planning comes the big “say yes to the dress”!

I’ve had so many nerves leading up to the time of wedding dress shopping, and tried my best to take some advice, learn what I can about it and prepare myself.

As someone who’s not super big on shopping as it is, going out and trying on $1000+ dresses really didn’t seem like the best way to spend my time (& money).

Of course I have to find something to wear on my big day, and obviously I want it to be a more special piece than my regular fancy garb, but it all seemed pretty daunting and silly to me.

Because let’s be honest – you wear the thing for one day.

Save The Dates | Ideas & What To Include

Save The Dates

We’re at the just under a year mark until our wedding (!!!) and though we’ve told pretty much all of our guests what our date is, we are so excited to send out those official save the dates.

Giving your guests that heads up well in advance allows them to throw it in their calendar and reserve that day just for you!

Whether you want to have an elaborate gift or card sent out, or something simple online, there are so many fun ways to spread the word.

There’s just something about having the date on paper that makes it all seem so real for the first time. Because we’ve had a long engagement, this year out mark seems pretty exciting (yet a little scary).

I think we’ve finally decided on how we’re going to send out our save the dates, which you can find out about at the end of this post!

I hope these ideas give you some inspiration, as well as help you know what information to provide and what can wait for the invites.

With the winter chill keeping you indoors, and the lack of bills in your wallet, it’s getting harder and harder to get out to go on a date.

It can definitely get expensive to go out for dinner, to the movies, or play a round of mini golf – I get it. With bills to pay and a savings to build, it makes it hard to get some special one on one time with your special person.

But! You can still get that special time right at home. I know it may not seem so special, but I’ve gathered some fun things to do at home to still spend that quality time with your one and only.

So whether it’s Valentine’s Day, or just a regular night, these ideas are great for spending some time with your person. For more at-home activities (that sometimes can include friends!) check out these rainy day activities!
