Staying Productive When You’re Stressed

Staying Productive When You're Stressed

Keeping on top of your game and getting all your shiz done can be so difficult when you add stress into the mix.

I know what it’s like to be stressed. I’m a student, I’ve worked full time and done school at the same time, I’ve dealt with grief, depression, anxiety, money issues, self-esteem issues and all of the above at the exact same time. It ain’t easy. And when you’re that stressed, all you want to do is curl into a ball in bed and do absolutely nothing. I get it.

But even though you feel like your life may be crumbling and beating you to a pulp, the world around you keeps going. And you need to too.

When it comes to being stressed (which is most of the time, lol) I’m decently good at doing the things that absolutely have to be done – like showing up to work and completing assignments on time. What I tend to skip out on is the other stuff like taking complete care of myself, spending time with friends, or putting more effort into my hobbies (aka blogging!).

And though they may not feel like absolute necessities, they’re still important! If they’re important to you deep down, they’re important to accomplish.

Anxiety | 3 Ways to Calm Yourself Down

Anxiety

Wow!

Has it ever been a busy month!

September was so incredibly busy for me and I’m still trying to pack down a solid schedule. With school being crazy, and a few health issues arising, I’ve been having a tough time getting everything done that I want to. And because of that, blogging is getting put on the back burner (sad face).

These next few weeks are also going to be super busy – midterm & project season, Vegas next weekend (yay!), among other things. The trip next weekend will be super fun and a nice break, but it being right in the middle of all this craziness at school gets me a little anxious (okay, a lot anxious.)

I have so many projects and quizzes due right before and afterwards, I’m having a hard enough time remembering every project and test to study for, let alone actually finding the time to do all of it.

School is back in session, and am I fully prepared? Probably not.

Throughout the last few weeks I have been trying to prepare myself for back to school – college, (for the second time) for me.

Having already taken a year of Digital Media in college a few years ago, I already kind of know the jist of how college is gonna go. I’m mentally trying to put myself back in the state of mind that I was when I first attended college, and with that I’ve come up with ten absolute must haves for being in college.

Here in Canada, college is a pretty different experience compared to the States. People aren’t as big into Greek life, and college and university are actually different things here lol.

So technically I am going to university, and I am also not staying in a dorm, so this list will not be regarding any sort of dorm life.

We’re bringing it down to the nitty gritty basics of school work and college life, and all the items that I find super necessary in attending college.

Back To School Lunch Ideas

Easy and Quick Lunch Ideas

With back to school season right upon us (I’m starting university September 7th!), it’s time to start brainstorming some lunch ideas.

Let’s be honest, when you’re in college it’s so tempting to stop by the Starbucks on campus every day and pick up a sandwich and a frappucino. But that adds up sooo quickly (in your bank account, and the scale).

I’ve been packing a lunch for work every day this summer, so I already feel in the groove, but I’m ready to get a little more healthy and organized in packing my lunch for school.
