So you had a bad day…
Hah! More like week. Maybe even two.
You really start to get fed up with life – the way it continues to throw you curve balls and such.
Personally, I’ve had a rough week or so. Fire trucks at my apartment building, money probs, and a minor car accident – to name a few.
You really start to wonder when things are going to get normal again.
And what I’ve really been realizing, is that you have to be the one to make them normal again.
Yes there is obviously things you have no control over (clearly, see above), but what you do have control over is how you react to those situations.
Not gonna lie, I’m proud of myself with how I’ve been handling these situations I’ve been thrown lately. Yes, they suck. Like a lot. But I’m keeping my head up and adulting so hard right now (I wrote a post a while back on How To Adult, it’s pretty humorous and definitely relatable, if you wanna check it out).
By adulting, I mean taking responsibility for the shit I’ve been dealt, and doing so in a calm(ish) manner. Normally I would freak out over these sorts of things and totally lose my shit. But I’m handling it, and I know everything is going to turn out okay.
So if you’re having a bad day, week or even month, know that as long as you keep your head on your shoulders, think clearly before letting your emotions take over, these situations will fizzle out in no time and go so much smoother.
And no matter what, everything is going to be okay.
